Prep Time: 10 minutes
Cook Time: 10–14 minutes
Total Time: 20–25 minutes
Servings: Approximately 32 bites
Ingredients1 can (16 oz / 450 g) refrigerated biscuit dough
4 tablespoons (56 g) unsalted butter, melted
½ cup (100 g) granulated sugar
1½ teaspoons ground cinnamon
⅛ teaspoon salt (optional)
Instructions
Preheat the oven: Set your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
Cut the dough: Separate the refrigerated biscuits and cut each into four equal pieces, making approximately 32 bites.
Arrange and bake: Spread the pieces on the baking sheet, leaving space between them. Bake for 10–14 minutes until puffed, golden, and fully cooked inside.
Prepare the coating: In a bowl, mix the sugar, cinnamon, and optional salt. Melt the butter separately.
Brush with butter: While the biscuit bites are still warm, brush them generously with melted butter, covering all sides.
Coat in cinnamon sugar: Transfer the buttered bites to the cinnamon-sugar mixture and gently toss until evenly coated.
Serve warm: Enjoy immediately while the centers are soft and fluffy and the cinnamon-sugar coating is fresh.
Tips for the Best Results
Keep the pieces evenly sized so they bake at the same rate.
Don’t overcrowd the baking sheet or the edges may not brown evenly.
Coat while warm so the cinnamon sugar sticks properly.
Add extra flavor: Mix ½ teaspoon vanilla extract into the melted butter, or add a pinch of nutmeg to the sugar.
Try a sweet dip: Serve with vanilla icing, cream cheese dip, or caramel sauce.
Storage: Keep cooled leftovers in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 2 days. Reheat briefly in a 300°F (150°C) oven for a fresher texture.
Air Fryer Option: Cook the dough pieces at approximately 320°F (160°C) for 5–8 minutes, checking that the centers are fully baked before coating.
These little cinnamon-sugar treats are simple, inexpensive, and perfect for sharing. Once you taste them warm, buttery, and freshly coated, it’s hard to stop at just one!
